I decided I needed a change of scenery as I've been working on my Allietare Mystery Quilt since November. I have the rows halfway put together, so not too much more to go. Just was getting kinda bored of staring at the same ole same ole. Maybe I suffer from Quilter's ADD. Oh well. Hehe. Anyway, I pulled out my girl's charity quilt and finished sewing all the blocks.
I think it looks great and I really enjoyed using up some of my purple and pink scraps! I have a ton left, so I'm sure there will be many more scrap quilts in the future. LOL! Now to sew the blocks together to rows and rows to a flimsy. If it wasn't a charity quilt, I would put a small white border around it and then a nice 4" purple and pink string border to finish it off. Maybe that's a future quilt right there, only using all colors of the spectrum and making it for my bed. :o) Scrap happy, Suzy
Saturday, I finished all my blocks and yesterday, I laid everything out. I LOVE it! I've since labeled the rows and they are now awaiting construction. I might have time today to start, but the carpet cleaner is coming, so that's an iffy maybe. LOL
On New Year's Eve at midnight Italy-time, Bonnie posted the final clue and reveal of Allietare! It is sooo me! Right down to the scalloped border. If you want to see the reveal for yourself, here's a link to Bonnie's blog. Here's where I'm at so far.
I have all 30 of the Allietare Star blocks completed, and am making my way through the Echoes of Pisa blocks. Then it's on to the setting blocks. I'm hoping to get a lot accomplished today. My goal is to at least finish the 20 Echoes of Pisa blocks. If time permits and I'm feeling inspired (and crazy), then I'm hoping to have all the setting blocks done today too. We'll see what happens... Once the blocks are all completed, I'll arrange them on my great room floor and mark the rows to make it easier for me to assemble them and keep everything the way I laid them out. I'll post again once I get to that point. Who knows what today will hold, Suzy

I am a retired 60-year old widow with two lovely, grown daughters. I am also blessed with a wonderful teenaged grandson, and two beautiful step-granddaughters, or granddaughters-in-love, as I choose to view it. *Grin* Happily, we all reside in Florida within 30 minutes of one another.
I also have an energetic Yorkshire Terrier/Bichon Frise mix, Tasha. I don't know what I would do without her. She brings me constant joy.
