A Quilty "Treat" for Halloween

Hear ye! Hear ye! Bonnie Hunter's new mystery quilt has officially begun with the revelation of the color palette. She is calling her new mystery quilt Allietare! -- and the colors are right up my alley! The name and colors are inspired by her recent trip to Tuscany, and you can find out all the info on Bonnie's website here.

I am happy to report that all (yes--ALL) the fabrics are from my stash. And there is way more where they came from. LMAO! No, I don't feel embarrassed in the least. It's taken me almost 20 years to get my quilt stash where it is now. I'm sure there are many of you out there in the same boat. Are we gonna jump overboard? Heck, no! Just pile more in and hope we don't sink the ship! Hehehehehe.

Looking forward to the first clue on Black Friday,
Suzy

wow! that was fast!!! I'm headed upstairs right now to pull some fabrics... I think i'll really love this quilt (I was disappointed in last years quilt- too muddled, and the fabrics were all the same value...) this should be fantastic! and grey too- my new favorite!

over on my blog today, someone was shocked that I made 200 16 patches, and still had fabric left over! I've been quilting/sewing for 30 years, so that's lots of time to gather a stash!

and isn't it great when we can pull colors for a quilt, and not have to go out and buy (at $11/yard?!!!)

I'd already pretty much decided to tackle the mystery quilt this year, and the announced colors have pushed me right over the edge. My stash isn't as extensive, but I know I've got a really good start already on hand. And since I love all the colors, adding a bit certainly won't be painful.
